ABOUT...

A Summer in 1993 in Spanish Harlem finally reveals the secret past of Cuban-American cardiac nurse Negra Centron. A childhood secret torments the life and stifles the growth of a beautiful woman. The ancient religion of the Yoruba people of Nigeria, known as Regla de Ocha and Santeria in the Diaspora, is the engine behind this supernatural mystery thriller. This African-evolved religion, with its magic, is the backdrop for this tale of love, hate, deceit, betrayal, obsession, forgiveness, acceptance, and hope. Magic, ritual, and destiny are the threads unraveling this gripping, edgy, mystery/thriller.

Pressured by a suspicious mother, a strange bed-fellow, and an amorous co-worker, Negra battles to keep a childhood secret from unraveling while a restless spirit and the African gods seek justice...

SENSUAL... SOULFUL... MUSIC...

My Facebook friend, the lovely Nina, is on this track.  I had no idea... MUCHO CALENTE!

AN EXAMPLE OF THE SENSUALITY THAT WILL BE SEEN ON THE SCREEN

There used to be such an intensity, and sensuality in the inner city of New York.  I experienced it growing up in the South Bronx and later living in Spanish Harlem.  Among the grit and gloom there was joy, beauty, and sensuality...  It is my ultimate goal to capture it and share it on the screen through the characters, the music, and the art of cinematography!

SHOOT DAY 1 COMING UP!

Meeting next week with those cast members who have scenes coming up.  We'll discuss their characters and they'll have the scenes in enough time to memorize before we begin rehearsals.  If we begin filming before our fundraising Old Skool Bash we'll have footage to show our guests.  They'll be lots of cool scenes to make for a very hot trailer!

PRE-PRODUCTION HAS BEGUN!!!!!!!!!!

Cinematographer Nicola Raggi and I tediously went over the script of "A Wound in Time" and discussed the look of each scene.  It was a joy to have such a nice flow during the collaboration process.  We'll continue going through the script and then hit the streets to scout.  I'll be meeting with cast members who are scheduled for Shoot Day 1 to discuss their characters and give them their scenes.

Nico busy gettin' it done!
