I'll be performing with some of the cast in two scenes of my much loved Creole drama at the Cultural Diversity Festival in Harlem. Come out and join the fun or sign up as a participating performer! See you there!
The trials and tribulations of launching a play as the writer, producer and director. From auditions through the rehearsal process witness the evolution of this dramatic mystery thriller to the stage and beyond. First mounted in 2010 at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, the play was remounted, by popular demand, and had a successful run Off Broadway in 2012! Entering a new phase setting the stage to film the screenplay for theatrical and/or DVD release with production slated for 2014. Stay tuned.

BROADWAY BARTENDING DAYS AT "CATS" AND "FOSSE" AND MEETING DONNA SUMMER
![]() |
| Ben Vereen and moi at a wonderful Spa Party he gave for the cast and FOH staff of "Fosse". |
It was while bartending at The Broadhurst Theatre at "Fosse" that I met Donna Summer. During the 1970's everyone used to tell me that I looked like the great Disco Queen. In 2001 Donna came to see Ben Vereen (they both appeared in the film "Hair") perform in the production and decided to stop by the bar to chat with me. I guess she thought I resembled her too. She had the most powerful voice, which I witnessed at an outdoor concert at Boston Harbor. She almost blew us out of our seats many rows away. RIP
Before working at The Broadhurst I worked at the Winter Garden and closed, at the time, the longest running show on Broadway "Cats"! That's a pic of me and the "Cats" bartender crew...
