A Summer in 1993 in Spanish Harlem finally reveals the secret past of Cuban-American cardiac nurse Negra Centron. A childhood secret torments the life and stifles the growth of a beautiful woman. The ancient religion of the Yoruba people of Nigeria, known as Regla de Ocha and Santeria in the Diaspora, is the engine behind this supernatural mystery thriller. This African-evolved religion, with its magic, is the backdrop for this tale of love, hate, deceit, betrayal, obsession, forgiveness, acceptance, and hope. Magic, ritual, and destiny are the threads unraveling this gripping, edgy, mystery/thriller.

WOW! Look What I Found! Clips From "A WOUND IN TIME"

I happen to stumble upon 2 video clips taken of the production of "A Wound In Time" last Fall at Nuyorican Poets Cafe. Just imagine this play filmed professionally with three broadcast quality cameras!

One is the opening scene of salutations by Iya Carmen (played wonderfully by Soleidy Mendez) and the other is a scene just before Millie (played wonderfully by Ryss) and Iya Carmen begin a spiritual cleaning.

This film will get done relying on my grind for pennies, and a little help from my friends. But it may take longer than necessary since shoot days will only happen when funds are available. In other words, instead of having only 2 shoot days a month, we can have 10. That makes a big difference in how soon we get the film on the big screen.
